Playing Catch Up With Shana by Shana Roberts
Upcoming events……
- The next meeting is on October the 30th, the night before Halloween.
We will try to organize a goin' out somewhere for those who feel inclined, I'm sure plenty will be going on!
Please, Please, Please!
Wear something you don't normally wear.
After all, it's Halloween.
Try doing your favorite TV (that's TELEVISION), movie or rock star-ess
(The Nanny and Designing Women are two of my favorites - damn I'd like to be in charge of the wardrobe for those two shows!).
Be someone you're usually not.
Have some fun with the hobby!
- The November meeting will be on Saturday the 20th.
- The December Christmas Party is set for the 11th, with the room and suite available for changing or whatever.
If anyone wants to stay in the room for the night, please let us know.
There is a $45 charge for the room, which is half price.
We don't have dinner plans firmed up yet, so details will follow as soon as we know something.
- One of our sister groups, the TGEA in Washington DC, is having their annual Christmas party on December the 4th.
They always outdo themselves and put on great event, with live entertainment and then yours truly spinning CD's till 1:00AM.
You should try to go if you have the opportunity.
- The Renaissance Faire.
Anyone interested?
Tentative dates are Oct 2nd, 17th, 23rd, and 24th.
I have a couple of tickets that I got thru work for 13 bucks if anyone wants to go to the MD Faire.
I'm planning on hitting the PA Faire in Lancaster on the 24th.
- We had a couple of people express an interest at the meeting for doing the dinner theater thing.
That makes only 3 or 4 people solidly committed besides myself and Marsha and Doneene.
We will need more if you want to go and get a group rate.
Otherwise, we can just plan the event, and whoever makes it, makes it, and we pay regular price.
BTW, we're looking at the 2nd weekend in November, I believe that is the 13th!
Ta Ta for now, Shana.
