One item that seems to have been mentioned lately is what are the upcoming CES programs. Although this topic may be addressed elsewhere in this issue let me mention a few items and ideas. First, for this month the month of October, we plan to have our annual Halloween party at the usual place. The idea is to wear a costume and have a great time. For those who are shy about going out one should remember that this meeting is the day before Halloween or when we were growing up Mischief night or some such name. After the meeting would be an excellent time to join some of our more experienced members going out to have a coffee or so. Remember, it is the day before Halloween so you will be expected to be in costume!
Second, in November we are planning a movie night. This November, we are planning a different movie then we have had for the past few years.
In December, we are planning our annual "Holiday Party". Shana has already secured reservations for the Alcove at Snyder's restaurant. The alcove provides a little more seclusion for our shy members. It is limited to about 15 - 20 people however; overflow may be taken care of by seating members who are comfortable, outside the alcove room. (For those who have concerns about attending the "Holiday Party" at the restaurant, it's an excellent opportunity to gain some confidence.) Please let any board member know if you plan to attend the December outing so we can keep tabs on our planned attendance. We have our special room at the hotel both before and after the dinner for socializing and changing. We will also arrange transportation for those who need it to and from the hotel.
