The Big Dance  by  Rosemary McQueen

Yet another photograph of rosemary at the big dance We met all of our friends from Chi Delta Mu, the host Chapter, and from Sigma Nu Rho, the Trenton Chapter. Theresa and I were the only ones from the Baltimore Chapter, Chi Epsilon Sigma. Rochelle and JoAnn came from the Cross Dressers' International Chapter, CDI, in New York City. The New Jersey Dames were also represented here.

Sometime during the evening Theresa was called to the head of the dance floor where it was announced by Jerri, the President of CDM, who looked fabulous, that it was Theresa's Birthday. She was embarrassed and blamed it on me. I had nothing to do with it, but Rochelle looked very guilty. Theresa really liked having her 41st Birthday acknowledged. Everyone sang Happy Birthday to her and she felt like crawling under a table. She is very shy, but she loved it. There were nearly 100 people at this dance and everyone had a good time.

We had to return home that evening because of our dog so we hugged and said good night to every one and left. It took over one hour to get home then Louise left for her home near Atlantic City. This was our third CDM Dinner Dance at the Glenpoint Marriott and we had a good time at each of them. Louise won't be late the next time because I made her repeat "I will not be late the next time" one hundred times. She was lots of fun and we are looking forward to seeing her again.

This past Sunday my friend Tina came to my house so that we could go together to the Hofbrau Haus in the Highlands for dinner with other CD friends. Tina did the same thing and missed the turn for my street and accidentally drove to Asbury Park. Our cell phones saved us.
