This month I thought I would forego my usual rambling diatribes in favor of providing a few interesting links I've come across in searching for "stuff" on the net.
The first one is Jaye Kaye's Transgender Movie Guide a website that lists movies containing references to crossdressing, transsexualism, or transgenderism. The references can be anything relating to the "trans", including appearances, themes, whatever. The listings seem fairly comprehensive.
A gender test is at GenderCare. I took a quick look thru the test, and it asks a lot of questions, some dealing with transsexualism to see how far you have gone down the TG path. If you score less than a 10, you're a &normal& hetero male. Some people may not want to take the test since you have to give info like your email address and such. But it should be interesting.
Entertainer David De Alba, has an extensive set of bios and photos of west coast drag artists at his Celebrity Interviews website. She has some interesting stories to tell and it contains links to other things.
If you can read French, there is an interesting website dedicated to Coccinelle, a famous French female impersonator of the 60's.
Unfortunately, with the little bit I did of traveling around the website, I didn't see any pictures of her from the 60's, which is a real shame, cause she was absolutely gorgeous.
She was also one of the early pioneers in the transsexual revolution, for she had her operation in 1958.
If anyone is interested in seeing pix of these babes from the French impersonator scene in the 60's, I can bring a small booklet to the next meeting... they are simply amazing!
Gloria Glover is a local girl Gloria Glover is a local girl with a cool website.
I saved the best for last. Anyone who has not checked out Tiffany Michelle's TG Tower is missing out. Tiffany has an extensive photo section and many, many links to other CD websites. She belongs to (Rho Tau (Richmond-Tidewater support group), and has been to our meetings in the past, but not since I've been a member.
Go forth and have some fun. Till next month, Shana.
