Villa Julie College Student Encounter  by Barbara Van Horn

The questions have shifted from the academic to the personal. These young people want to know us, not a textbook or research thesis. The personal testimonies by the panel continue. You can see wheels turning in the student's heads. This group of tomorrow's leaders has not said a single unkind word; not a single judgmental remark. We are encouraged the future is in good hands.

Three hours pass in the blink of an eye. We want to continue. Every remark, every question stimulates a relentless torrent of thoughtful, measured and often funny interchanges. We care what these young people think and believe. We won't get this chance again with these students. We're sad to see the session draw to a close.

CES Presenters at Villa Julie College

Many of us believe we have a mission at Villa Julie College. We don't reach every college student in America, and we can't make a difference in the lives of millions, but there are twenty-five more young men and women in America that know us better than before. If history is any guide at all, our next class will be a sell out too.
