Rosemary & Tina at the Sept. Fling  by Rosemary McQueen

I met Sharla, who is usually at a CDM meeting selling Mary Kay products. She had donated a large bowl of Mary Kay products to be raffled off. Her husband, Cynthia was there and was a participant in the show as a model. She is a statuesque blonde and Sharla is a very small and cute in comparison to her husband. Cynthia, Sharla and I are members of Chi Delta Mu.

A program was given to me that described the show that we were about to see. The first part of the show was a salute to the Universal Goddess of the Underworld, Hecate, and was under the Title Metamorphosis 2004.

Metamorphosis, LTD. Features Unique Fashions for T-Girls with designs by: Mistress Kitara AKA Dee J. Gonzales.

For those who have forgotten their Greek mythology, Hecate is the Goddess of darkness, and on moonless nights she was believed to roam the earth with a pack of ghostly, howling dogs. She was the Goddess of sorcery and witchcraft, and was especially worshipped by magicians and witches, who sacrificed black lambs and black dogs to her.

The first act consisted of several ladies dressed in black dresses with black veils over their heads dancing in intricate patterns. It was beautifully choreographed by Mistress Kitara with some appropriate ghostly, spooky music to accompany the scene. Following this, the fashion show began. There were the following models: Rosa, Cynthia, Terri, Marie, Vanessa, and Jennifer. I will only describe Cynthia’s dress because of space and time limitations. It was a powder blue tapestry cocktail dress with chiffon flounce and a beaded bodice. The price was $150.00. which is more than Rosemary spends for her outfits. Each model made several appearances wearing different dresses.

Following the show, there was disco dancing and Tina and I did a lot of that. The evening ended about midnight. We said goodnight and everyone agreed that we had a good time.
