For the first time in five years, The Wild Rose took a summer sabbatical.

And judging from the limited number of new articles we have seen recently, so did our contributing editors.
But it's a new season now.
As Sue Avalon said, the fall catalogues are out and it's time get back into the dressing scene.
Unfortunately, August was a bad month for transgender women in the Washington DC area. Two murders in one week focused attention on the transgender community. I'm afraid most of the news coverage reinforced the popular stereotype that all transgender women are engaged in the sex trade. While you and I know differently, the stereotype is a reality that affects us as we express our transgender nature.
