Eyebrows

To look good as a woman, most of us need help with the eyebrows. Guys let their eyebrows get bushy, unkempt, and untrimmed. Women don't.

Some of you can't or won't be able to do anything with the eyebrows because it will set off an alarm with those who don't know the secret side.

There are a number of things that can be done with the eyebrows.

You can pluck them or have them waxed to shape them.

You can change their overall shape and appearance by "taping".

A good number of us have deep set eyes. Taping will help to pull the eyebrows up and help to eliminate the "Cro-Magnon" look.

Lastly, there is using the eyebrow pencil to help color the brows, and further add shape and definition.

Make sure the color of your eyebrows matches that of your hair color unless you are going for the bleached blonde look.

If you do tape your brows, do it before you apply your foundation, and you will have to wear hair with bangs to cover the tape - it's a trade off.

Once you've decided to do something with them, you need to decide on a shape, the color, how arched they will be, etc.

Cheeks

Applying blush (a.k.a. rouge) is probably the easiest makeup step to do.

Go light and blend.

Peach to light pinkish tones are good for the day. You can go darker in the evening.

Keep the area small, and just below the high of the cheek bone. No cheek bone? This will help to create the illusion.

Don't "do it" in a circle, those days are gone.

Brush it on in almost a horizontal fashion. Blend.

To further help with the illusion, you can use white highlighter above the blush, on the "highspot" of the cheekbone. Again, blend so you don't have a line.
